collectible binoculars - optics the easy way

Binoculars can be carried anywhere with you, from theatres to forests, from lakeshores to playgrounds. Both eyes can see comfortably through both lenses with having to squint one eye to see.

Kids use binoculars as toys and as learning devices. The bigger the aperture the more light is captured so the brighter and clearer the image will be. The "10" refers to the magnification power of the binoculars, that is, objects viewed will appear to be 10 times closer than when they are viewed by the naked eye.

Generally, if the objective lens is 50 mm then it is considered to be a large binocular; if it is 42 mm, it is full size; if it is 32 mm, it is a mid size. Distance measuring is important, but binoculars with a wide field of view allow you to see a larger picture, and keep an eye on several objects at once. Many of the binoculars come with a carry case that can attach to a belt.

You may not be planning on getting them wet, but things happen; you might trip and drop them in a mud puddle, take them out on a foggy day, or you might get caught in a freak rain shower. Treat your kids to a pair of inexpensive binoculars to explore the natural world around them.
