binocular review - what you need to know

Essentially, all binoculars and scopes are derived from classical telescopes, which consist, in their most basic fashion, of two lenses. Binoculars are used for a lot of things.

Birdwatchers use binoculars to find those fast flying rare birds as they hum through the sky. A typical bird watcher will tell you that an important feature to look for in binoculars is how tough they are. The "10" refers to the magnification power of the binoculars, that is, objects viewed will appear to be 10 times closer than when they are viewed by the naked eye.

The fog proof models have interior optical surfaces that won't fog due to rapid temperature changes or humidity. There are giant binoculars available with higher magnifications and apertures which are designed for astronomy use but you will certainly need a sturdy tripod or mount to use them.

They can be used while hiking, camping, boating and hunting. They enable the user to spot far more stars, comets, galaxies, and nebulae far better than with the naked eye. It s beautiful with the naked eye, and even more grand when we can see it enlarged.

If you are going to take up bird watching, trust me, you will love it. Get Outdoors!
